On December 4, 2019, Priya Maholay-Jaradi, convenor for Art History for the
National University of Singapore (NUS) and the
National Gallery Singapore, gave a lecture in the context of Prof. Monica Juneja’s seminar “The Politics of Museums in the 21st century.” Her talk “
Cold War Diplomacy, Decolonization and a Transcultural Museological Imagination: A Government of India Donation for University of Malaya Art Museum, Singapore (1959)” addressed the donation of artefacts to museums in the frame of transcultural logics of decolonization. Guests attended the lecture from 11 am to 1 pm in room 400.02.12.
