China experts professor Marina Svensson and associate senior lecturer Nicholas Loubere will present tentative research and field-trip experiences.

During this trip I interviewed scholars, curators and photographers, walked with photographers in their ‘hunting’ grounds, and explored a range of exhibitions and other spaces for photography. This trip is part of a larger project that hopefully will result in a book.Marina Svensson's research covers a range of different topics related to contemporary Chinese society. She has received research grants from the major national research bodies, has been the project leader for a number of different interdisciplinary research projects, for example on Chinese law, investigative journalism in China, and China’s digital society. She has organised many international conferences and has also arranged a number of documentary film festivals. Marina serves regularly as a reviewer of articles to academic journals. N.B.
