Amelia Bonea wins Inaugural Mercurians Prize

Dr. Amelia Bonea was the
inaugural winner of the Mercurians Prize of the
Society for the History of Technology. She was awarded the prize for her peer-reviewed paper: “‘Contagion by Telephone’: Print Media and Knowledge about Infectious Diseases in Britain, 1880s–1914,” published in the 62nd volume of Technology and Culture (October 2021). The prize recognizes a peer-reviewed paper in the history of communication technologies published in 2020–21 and focused on a period at least 25 years before publication.
