Dr. Amelia Bonea is among the winners of the
2021 Robert and Vineta Colby Book Prize by the
Research Society for Victorian Periodicals, an annual prize that honors original book-length scholarship about Victorian periodicals and newspapers. This year’s prize was jointly awarded to the authors and editor of the anthology “
The Edinburgh History of the British and Irish Press: Volume 2, Expansion and Evolution, 1800-1900.” Dr. Bonea contributed a piece titled “An Imperial Ideology of News: News Values and Reporting about Japan in Colonial India.”
